The Eureka Symphony's holiday concert takes you into a world of warmth and wonder. The enchanting evening features Tchaikovsky’s timeless Nutcracker Suite, the rich and spirited Rhythm of the Lights, A Hanukkah Fantasia by Michael Isaacson, and Howard Blake’s heartwarming The Snowman, brought to life by local theater legend Michael Fields. Perfect for families and music lovers of all ages, this magical concert blends classical elegance with festive storytelling, celebrating the beauty, joy, and traditions of the season in one entrancing performance. Ticket prices range from $21-54, with tickets at the door, after 6 p.m., for just $15, or $10 with a student ID – the best available seats. Two children under 12 get in free with every adult ticket purchased.
Salty Santa promises to be as vibrant and enchanting as ever, featuring a colorful procession of fishing boats, tug boats, the historic Madaket, sailboats, and a delightful array of small boats all decked out in festive holiday decorations. The highlight of the day will be the arrival of Santa Claus himself, who will be brought to town by Zerlang’s tugboat, Pacific Gemini.

If you need decorations, just come by and take what you need. No payment required. This year, we’re also including toys. If you’d like to donate: We are accepting donations of all faiths. Please drop them off Sunday, November 30 from 11AM to 1PM or Monday, December 1 or Wednesday, December 3 from 1PM to 3PM; or Friday, December 5 from 10AM to 2PM. (Other drop off periods can be arranged.) Decorations and toys should be clean, usable, and in good working order.
Eureka First Baptist Church will be hosting its annual Women’s Christmas Tea on Saturday, December 6. This year’s theme is “Cozy Country Christmas” and includes lunch and a program, starting at noon. Space is limited, so if you are interested in tickets (suggested donation of $10 each), please contact the church office at (707) 443-0406 for more information.

The Ink People's Artists' Challenge is back for 2025! Over 20 Humboldt County artists rose to the challenge last month, each creating a dozen all new works of art! Show opens for Arts Alive, December 6th - come look at 200+ gorgeous works of art, and maybe even bring one home. Note : Art will be sold straight off the walls to buyers - great for holiday shopping, but come check it out before it's gone!

Or maybe you are famous for that one dish you always bring to the holidays? Bring your favorite recipe (or two, or three) to exchange with fellow recipe enthusiasts! Enjoy holiday music and some tasty samples, and kids can check out the craft table to make a holiday craft! 🎄When: Sunday, December 7 12PM - 3PM 🎄Where: Adorni Community Center (1011 Waterfront Dr., Eureka) 🎄Who: All Ages Anyone is welcome to stop by this event!
