A multi-day celebration of emancipation through culture, education, art, and community connection. Presented by Black Humboldt and the Eureka Chapter of the NAACP, the festival spans multiple venues with a speaker series, live music, line dancing, a vendor village, kids' zone, and the main Day Festival at Halvorsen Park. Eureka’s 4th of July Festival takes place along several blocks of Old Town. This year’s celebration will be bigger and more festive than ever, marking the 250th anniversary of American independence and the 170th anniversary of the City of Eureka. The family-friendly festival features local vendors, food, crafts, kids’ activities, community booths, and live music on multiple stages throughout the day. The celebration continues into the evening with a fireworks show over Humboldt Bay at 10 p.m.

Live music every Sunday afternoon at the Botanical Garden with local food trucks, beer, wine, and coffee. Pack a lawn chair and enjoy the garden for the day. HBG members $5; non-members pay daily admission. Under 18 free. Frequency : Weekly on Sunday, June 7 - August 30, 2026 Time : 1 PM–3 PM
