Advent Compline to be offered at Christ Episcopal Church on Sundays (Nov. 30, Dec. 7, and Dec. 21) at 7 PM in the Main Church. Offered amidst candlelight, the candle-lit service will be led by a cantor and include anthems sung by the choir. A short and simple service fitting for the season of Advent and its overarching themes of waiting, preparedness, and expectation.
For many, the holiday season can be a bittersweet time, where moments of joy are shadowed by feelings of grief, loneliness, or distress. As the world celebrates the birth of Christ, Christ Church also recognizes and honors the grief carried by those whose relationships have been altered or lost through death or other forms of separation. Christ Church offers this special communal worship service for all who are grieving, suffering loss, and seeking a liturgy that speaks to their pain.
A special concert of music for the Advent Season will be offered by organist David Schofield on the Kegg Pipe Organ and Christ Episcopal Church.
December 24, Christmas Eve: Family Service at 4 PM and The Feast of Christ Mass at 10 PM. Musical Prelude followed by Festival Holy Eucharist at 10:30 PM
