Henderson Center Merchants come together for an evening to kick off the Christmas season! Retailers and Merchants will be open late, with retailers offering shopping specials and other businesses having family games, events, and Santa and The Grinch will be there! All family fun is free for the community.

Santa’s coming to town on a Humboldt Bay Fire Truck! Meet at the Gazebo at 2 PM for Santa’s grand entrance, followed by festive fun with his merry elves. This free family event is happening at 11 AM on Saturday, November 29 at the Gazebo in Old Town, Eureka. Support Small Business Saturday, and get ready for a man-made blizzard with hundreds of snowballs (ping pong balls) gently floating down to eager shoppers! Each ball represents a special discount, gift, or giveaway pre-determined by a participating business. Catch a snowball and visit the corresponding business to redeem your prize on Saturday, November 29th only! --------------- Prizes for kids and adults! “Gumballs” are colored ping-pong balls and each one can be redeemed for a special trinket or treat. Limit one “gumball” per child. “Snowballs” are white ping-pong balls and each one can be redeemed for a special prize from a local business. Advent Compline to be offered at Christ Episcopal Church on Sundays (Nov. 30, Dec. 7, and Dec. 21) at 7 PM in the Main Church. Offered amidst candlelight, the candle-lit service will be led by a cantor and include anthems sung by the choir. A short and simple service fitting for the season of Advent and its overarching themes of waiting, preparedness, and expectation.
