Santa’s coming to town on a Humboldt Bay Fire Truck! Meet at the Gazebo at 2 PM for Santa’s grand entrance, followed by festive fun with his merry elves. Enjoy face painting, kids’ crafts, balloon animals, and a chance to share your holiday wishes with Santa himself! Bring the whole family and your camera for a magical afternoon in Old Town!
This free family event is happening at 11 AM on Saturday, November 29 at the Gazebo in Old Town, Eureka. Support Small Business Saturday, and get ready for a man-made blizzard with hundreds of snowballs (ping pong balls) gently floating down to eager shoppers! Each ball represents a special discount, gift, or giveaway pre-determined by a participating business. Catch a snowball and visit the corresponding business to redeem your prize on Saturday, November 29th only! --------------- Prizes for kids and adults! “Gumballs” are colored ping-pong balls and each one can be redeemed for a special trinket or treat. Limit one “gumball” per child. “Snowballs” are white ping-pong balls and each one can be redeemed for a special prize from a local business. The Eureka Symphony's holiday concert takes you into a world of warmth and wonder. The enchanting evening features Tchaikovsky’s timeless Nutcracker Suite, the rich and spirited Rhythm of the Lights, A Hanukkah Fantasia by Michael Isaacson, and Howard Blake’s heartwarming The Snowman, brought to life by local theater legend Michael Fields. Perfect for families and music lovers of all ages, this magical concert blends classical elegance with festive storytelling, celebrating the beauty, joy, and traditions of the season in one entrancing performance. Ticket prices range from $21-54, with tickets at the door, after 6 p.m., for just $15, or $10 with a student ID – the best available seats. Two children under 12 get in free with every adult ticket purchased.
Salty Santa promises to be as vibrant and enchanting as ever, featuring a colorful procession of fishing boats, tug boats, the historic Madaket, sailboats, and a delightful array of small boats all decked out in festive holiday decorations. The highlight of the day will be the arrival of Santa Claus himself, who will be brought to town by Zerlang’s tugboat, Pacific Gemini.
Wreath Making
If you need decorations, just come by and take what you need. No payment required. This year, we’re also including toys. If you’d like to donate: We are accepting donations of all faiths. Please drop them off Sunday, November 30 from 11AM to 1PM or Monday, December 1 or Wednesday, December 3 from 1PM to 3PM; or Friday, December 5 from 10AM to 2PM. (Other drop off periods can be arranged.) Decorations and toys should be clean, usable, and in good working order.
