Friday Night Market
As we wrap up our first season of Friday Night Market, we are asking for feedback from all of our stakeholders. If you came to the market, own a business in Old Town, or vended at the Market, please take a moment to fill out the appropriate survey. Your answers are anonymous and will be used as we begin planning next season! Thank you again for a successful first year - we couldn’t have done it with out you!
Our goal in the creation of our market is to establish Old Town Eureka as a place for neighbors to gather. With this in mind, we set up community dining tables and encourage people to stay a while. We aim to create a cozy, inviting atmosphere where our visitors can really get to know one another and our vendors.
Every market we strive to create an atmosphere that is kid and family friendly. We build our market around magical moments - be it live painting with a local artist, a jam session with the band, or the simple joy of children with sidewalk chalk.
north coast growers association farmer's market
We chose the time of our market to better serve the working community in Eureka. With many people working until 5 PM, we felt that it was important to provide another opportunity for folks to grab some fresh produce before they head home. With our festive atmosphere, we have turned going to the Farmer's Market into an extension of the weekend. We have a growing list of farmers joining throughout the season, be sure to check back often to see what's in season.
Humboldt Made Bar Booth
Another way our market is unique is that we have a bar booth every week. This booth operates as a fundraiser for Humboldt Made, an organization that represents many of our local breweries, distilleries, and wineries. Weekly, they serve beer from Mad River, Six Rivers, and Eel River.
Come out and get your groove on every week in Clark Plaza. We have booked local, family-friendly bands with one goal in mind - to get the party started in Old Town!
